By accessing or using SceneLingo — whether through our website (scenelingo.com), our iOS application, our Android application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.
SceneLingo is an AI-powered language learning platform that provides scenario-based conversation practice, vocabulary and sentence learning, and personalized learning evaluations. The Service is available as a web application and as native mobile applications for iOS and Android devices.
The following terms apply specifically to users of our mobile applications:
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the SceneLingo mobile application on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
The mobile application requires a compatible device and an active internet connection to function. You are responsible for ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements and for any data charges incurred while using the Service. The app requires:
Your use of the mobile application is also subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the app store's terms, the app store's terms shall prevail with respect to your use of the mobile application.
We may release updates to the mobile application from time to time. You agree that we may automatically update the app, and these Terms apply to all such updates. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated version and any changes to these Terms.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
SceneLingo offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free accounts have limited access to certain features. Premium subscriptions unlock additional features as described on our pricing page.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. The renewal charge will be at the then-current subscription price.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
If you subscribe through an in-app purchase on iOS or Android, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google respectively, and their payment terms apply. To manage or cancel a subscription made through an in-app purchase, use the subscription management settings on your device (iOS Settings > Subscriptions, or Google Play > Subscriptions).
The Service, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, and AI-generated content), is owned by SceneLingo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Service without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service (including custom scenes, conversation messages, and uploaded files). By submitting content, you grant SceneLingo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you submit and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate learning content, conversation responses, and evaluations. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional linguistic, academic, or legal advice.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCENELINGO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You may delete your account at any time through Profile > Account > Delete Account. Upon account deletion, your personal data, learning progress, conversation history, custom scenes, and vocabulary will be permanently removed within 30 days. Any active subscriptions will be automatically cancelled. This action is irreversible.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which SceneLingo is incorporated.
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
