SceneLingo is a language learning app built around real situations — a doctor's appointment, viewing an apartment, a job interview. Instead of working through a textbook, you create a scene for what is actually coming up in your life, learn the words and phrases that scene needs, and rehearse the conversation with an AI character before you have it for real.
Scenes can be created from a short description, pasted text, a PDF, a photo or a YouTube link. SceneLingo generates the vocabulary, example sentences and a conversation partner; after each practice conversation you get feedback, save useful expressions to your scene, and review them with spaced-repetition flashcards.
SceneLingo supports German, English, Chinese, Japanese, French and Spanish. It runs in the browser at scenelingo.com; native apps for iOS and Android are in development.
